A little something I picked up for the missus and have been working on since Xmas.
The car came from LA and was a survivor daily driver over there.
This is how it was when I got it.

You painted it right outside like that? haha
That's great!

Well, too much work,a major cyclone and life in general got in the way of progress but getting back to it now.

Abt 3 weeks ago I dusted off the cobwebs (literally) and finally did the rustproofing.

OK.Updates.

Boot lock and boot wiring are in place.

Wiring for the dome light is in place.

Door locks, glass, window winders, etc are all fitted and adjusted.

Using a combination of US and Oz parts I've got toggle operated mirrors fitted to both doors.

Waiting on a roller rebuild kit to get the rear quarter windows in.

Made mounts and runners to fit the Laser TX3 buckets nicely.

Bought a set of new doorcards from PPR.Cheap as at $99 for the four!!!

Upholsterer is booked in for Jauary 4th to fit headliner and start on the rest of the interior trimming.

Grille and lights are in and wired up.

Most of the engine bay wiring and bits'n'pieces are fitted up.

I've got an A/C heater over from Classic Auto Air which I want to fit up before the engine goes in.

Today I finished light porting and cleaning up of the heads.

Heads are now torqued down on the engine.

Will do a bit more engine assembly tomorrow and retorque the heads.

Headliner is in.
It's a cheapy off US ebay and don't fit all that great so not the trimmer's fault.
He did the best he could.

Interesting build there ! Wild colour scheme :glasses7: !

Say , that '72 must've been built in Windsor (Ontario , Canada) . I'm basing that assumption on the headliner material ; most '72 model A-Bodies had hardboard headliners , but every Windsor-built Dart I've ever seen had the '71 headliner and upholstery .
You can ascertain its plant code by its v.i.n. (probably something to the tune of LH23G2R******) with the "R" designating the Windsor plant.

Just curious is all :D

Keep up the neat-o work !

Mate,you're on the ball!!!
This car did originally have a hardboard headliner but I converted it to fabric headliner using Aussie Valiant hardtop bows and clips.
VIN for this car is LH23G2B

I've never seen someone mask off an oil filter before...

Good looking restification!

My Hamtramk '72 Swinger has the original soft '71 style headliner. Mine could be an early '72, I've never looked or paid any attention to the date.

Like the yellow, this car is going to be cool looking, I'm sure.
