Auto tranny number stamping?

I cleaned off the stamping on the left side of my 727 above the oil pan on my 67 barracuda 273 commando car.
The number stamping are clear but seem a bit strange to me compared to B and E body automatic numbers that I’ve seen over the years.

I thought I would throw the stamped numbers up to see if any of you A body gurus can decipher anything from it?

Ah yes, you are right.
I was working on my 69 charger this week and had 727 on the brain.

The numbers on the trans are a form of the sequence number. if the trans is original to the car they might match the hidden numbers stamped in the trunk lip and core support.

I can't find any photos to back up my statement above can someone else confirm or deny my statement.

After 1/ 1969 (iirc) the vin is stamped


The only way to tie the trans to the body to the fender tag to the VIN is with a build sheet or an IBM card that being a 67 you can request from stellantis historical.
