Rani, you have great taste in music. That's Buck Owens(RIP) and the Buckaroos. That's Don Rich (RIP) singing harmony and playing that awesome telecsater. Buck was one of the first country singers to "buck" the Nashville scene and did all of his recording in Bakersfield, Ca. So, he was somewhat ostracized by the mainstream country community many years because of that. But there was so much talent there, he beat the system. He's one of my all time favorites.

You'll probably like this too:

Here's "Streets of Bakersfield" rani. It's the song he wrote about not being accepted in Nashville and doing his recording in Bakersfield. That's his son Buddy Alan singing with him.

Nobody's mentioned Johnny "Cash"....to pun the buck theme!! You simply can't beat the Man in Black, and even the Metallica guys wish they could be as cool as Johnny!! Best yet, Johnny recorded for many decades so he has a diverse array of selections!

Check out an early Johnny number called "Pickin Time" or Rock Island Line, at least be sure to check out one of his last recordings "Hurt", a cover written by 9 Inch Nails or somebody like that. It'll make you want to see a lot more of him!! Geof

If you like Buck. Try Dwight Yokum. I prefer Waylon Jennings Willie Nelson Johnny Cash George Jones.
Waylon is a distant cousin of my Mother's.

Never a fan of old Buck and his cryin' in his beer.

Now Marty Robbins, who was also a racer, and a MOPAR racer..............

Someone mentioned Roy Clark. Here is my favorite of his songs;

I've loved rock music since I got my first transistor radio as a kid but a little Roy, Buck, and Grand Paw Jones never hurt anyone. :D

My Mom is 84 and has dementia and Parkinson's disease. When I go visit her we sometimes watch Grand Ole' Opry or Hew Haw c/ds and they always bring a smile to her face. Mine too, for that matter.
