B body axles

Hey a guy is selling b body axles dirt cheap and they are 5x4.5 I believe . How much would they need to. Be cut to fit. In my a body housing Im running small bolt axles right now with spacers/adapters for big bolt. This is 8 3/4 housing just so you know thanks in advance

They usually have a reducing step just beyond the factory splines, diameter too small to spline. It's right where they would need to be splined for use in an A body rear. You likely need to find C body or truck axles to respline at stock A body length.

If they are aftermarket b axles maybe it can be done. My moser b axles are splined deep enough I could cut 1.25 on each one and still fully engage the carrier in an a rear.
