B body floor shift steeing column in an A body

I was told that a 67-69 B body steering column is the same as an 67-69 A body steering column. Is this true? There is a guy selling one not too far from me and he says it's all the same. Could someone tell me if this is true thanks.

The only functional difference is the shaft length, but that can be swapped. I used a 67 Charger column in my old 67 Barracuda fastback with a Barracuda power steering shaft.

Oh ok. So another question than. I have an extra column shift steering column. Could I that the shaft out of that one and use it in the floor shift one?

Yes, the shafts are the same whether the car has a column shift or not.
