B & M shifter question

I burned a cable on my Ramcharger using a B&M light truck Megashifter. A foot shorter cable solved that issue. Your choices are limited for an A-body. When the time comes to put a shifter in my Duster it will be the SCS Cheetah shifter. It enters the trans linkage from the rear negating starter/header clearance issues.
