A buddy of mine gave me a set of b1 440 pistons. He sold all his drag racing stuff but had these left over. Will and indy head work with these pistons?.. he said the valve relief was different but he wasnt sure by how much

call Indy and act like your interested in purchasing heads for those pistons.

I think Best machine is pretty knowledgeable on B1 stuff, they would probably know.

are the pistons flattops? depends on how big of a cam you are thinking, and valve size

it says b-1 orig=15% valve angles=same as stock=same as indy. do you plan on a 4.30" stroke and a 7.00" rod? and the 1.43" comp distance with a stock block with that stroke and rod will be down the hole about .080" . call the piston manufacturer . and the valve size and cam size factors in

No matter what the valve angle, the placement is wrong so anything else will hit the top of the piston outside of the valve pocket.

4.30 STROKE? AND A 7.00 ROD ? -----------4.250 , AND 7.1 , I`VE HEARD OF .

4.30 and 7.00 will work, 4.25 and 7.10 will be better. there is a B1 BS - uses standard pistons, and a B1 MO and B1 MC - special pistons. the paper on the pistons says B1 orig - call the piston manufacturer
