It's been almost a year since the original 273 blew up - found this '01 5.2magnum last April and didn't make a lot of progress on it until a few weeks ago.

After some new parts, some swapped parts from the old one, a lot of cleaning and paint, we finally put the 'new' magnum in this week.
The best part was seeing the oil pressure gauge read 80 psi! Never saw anywhere close to that before.

This engine is awesome! All kinds of power and just feels solid for the first time. I've got a total of about 2k in this swap but I'm really happy with it. Well worth it and I'm happy to be driving it again.

Yeah, I know it's not fully cleaned up - hoses are smudged and it's not fully detailed yet. I'm having too much fun on the road...

Yessss!!! Congratulations on getting back on the road and jumping in and share this great news with us, looks great to me.
 
Congrats on getting the swap done. As the owner of an original 273 I can imagine the difference is like night and day.
