Saw this online and thought it was pretty remarkable that they can genetically engineer bacteria to turn any sort of plant waste basically into crude oil. No problems with using corn or soybeans or ethanol or biodiesel, this stuff can apparently eat plant based material. No need for energy intensive fermentation like when making ethanol either since you basically get crude oil.
