Saw this online and thought it was pretty remarkable that they can genetically engineer bacteria to turn any sort of plant waste basically into crude oil. No problems with using corn or soybeans or ethanol or biodiesel, this stuff can apparently eat plant based material. No need for energy intensive fermentation like when making ethanol either since you basically get crude oil.

they need to research the hell out of them bacteria. see if they could be harmful to humans. if not mass populate them mofos and lets get gas to 1.99 again. ever 2.49 would be good. it just hit 4.09 in east wv where i am

whats the quality like though? just saw on discovery channel that corn and soy beans only make about 220 gals of oil per so much (forgot) but they are now looking at alge which can make 30,000 gals.
