Bad fuel gauge, can it be rebuilt?

Could be the sender, could be the gauge. Easy spot to check is the 8 pin connector for the taillight wiring found behind the LF interior kick panel. Dark blue wire in position 2. Connect to ground, does the fuel guage deflect? If yes, look for trouble towards the sender. Don't forget broken wires or grounds. If it does not deflect, look towards the dash and gauge. Do your other gauges work? Rally dash gas gauge contains the regulator and if it fails, oil/temp will not work either.
 
Redfish, A member here rebuilds them, I had him do mine and they work great.
