Baffled valve covers?

Have MP baffled valve covers. Can't find a breather cap, that fits. Everyone, I've tried, hits the top of the baffle. Which doesn't allow it to seat fully into the grommet. Thus, letting it work it's way loose. PCV fit perfectly, on the other cover.
These are cast al. valve covers
Any ideas?

I would remove the baffle and shim it down

put a few washers under there

YABUT; Make sure those parts stay where you put them!
And sometimes you can't go very far cuz the baffles hit the rockers, so check that first.
I would be inclined to try to mod the breather spouts first.

Find a thicker grommet, one that sticks up about a half inch or so.

Yup, I have a couple here, don't remember exactly what they were from or where I got them. They stick up above the cover further.
