Bald eagle sited from my living room!

Here is the eagle that I just saw while sitting in my living room this morning. This is the first bald eagle I've ever seen on my NJ property. Pretty awe inspiring. He didn't like his picture being taken and he flew away before I got more shots of him.

You need to learn how to call them in so they pose for you. ;-)

One tip I used often when taking photos of eagles in Alaska. Frame your shot, focus, them let out a loud whistle. They have great hearing & they will look right at you for portraits if you get their attention.

I live really close to the Ohio River, there are a couple of nesting pairs on the river. They fly over the house now and again. I've never had one land in any of my trees that I've seen. But it is cool to see them. There is no shortage of Turkeys roosting in my woods though.
