Went to the local grocery store last night to buy some dinner and saw this nice barracuda.

I had no idea they were "eatable" as we say down here.

I caught one when I took the boys to Cuba for Christmas. They are edible, but very bony similar to Pike

I am currently working in Papua new guinea.....just about anything is "eatable" here, lol. It is the closest thing to a Mopar that I have seen here.

A few more....

I need one of those pig heads for my Brunswick stew.

My dad caught a barracuda fishing in Florida when he was young. I've seen a picture of it in an old family photo, it was from above his waist to the ground.

He had the head mounted and it used to hang on the wall in my grandparents basement. The teeth in that thing look real nasty!!!

On our honeymoon, many "moons" ago I might add, the bride and I went to the Bahamas because we had friends who lived there! They took us to all the local places, and snorkeling to some really cool holes! At one spot we were stalked by a rather large Barracuda, and even though we had spear guns and were spear fishing, it was quite a fright! Still have some pics from our underwater camera somewhere! Had I known that there were more "Barracudas" in my future, I would've taken that as a sign of things to come and speared the rascal, but I was too intent on lobster!! Don't think Cuda's are very good eating or Stanley wouldve insisted we bring him in!!

Also scared up a rather large Lemon Shark in about 4' of water, I think the bride cleared the water completely on her way to the boat!!! :)

Ok bestow upon us the legend of the B-stew.... :violent2:

And I don't eat carp... Yuk... :pale:

Rusty's job, he started it!!!!! LOL!
if you guys ever venture way south, south ga, parts of n and s Carolina, maybe Virginia, you will find it as side dish at B b Que shack! ( best is always done in shack!??)...
receipes will vary, but basically it consists of GROUND UP!!! pork and chicken. by mothers 100 yr old receipe calls for equal parts of pork should and a "fryer". not a layer, not a little chicken, but a full growed home raised "mature" chicken!!! LOL it will generlly hAVE SOME WHOLE KERNAL CORN MIXED IN. ( clumsy fingers).. some vinegar in there. this and that... don't have time to hunt the ingredients...
a must with b b q made with "red" sauce and boston butt...

Ah, Port Moresby! I was just there a couple of days ago. While I was there I managed to capture V.I.L.E. henchman Len Bulk. Unfortunately, he was unable to tell me where in the world Carmen Sandiego was...
