When relocating the battery. Is a battery box required in the trunk, if so, does it need to be metal or plastic? Thanks Ron

don` think a sealed battery needs one .

The way I read the rule book is:
If you don't have a sealed rear firewall you need the battery in a sealed box, vented to the outside. There is no mention of sealed battery or not in the rules that I could find.

Yes and no. If the trunk is open to the car- yes. If you have a rear firewall- no. You have to put in a cut off switch in back. The expensive part (for me) was the 17ft battery cable....
there is I believe different thicknesses of metal (per kind of metal) yes - plastic (what I have) moroso..
3/8's bolts required for hold downs. It's all in the book to make sure.
