I bought a battery hold down kit from Mancini, the description says..

'Battery Hold Down Kit
1970-1971 B- & E-Body and 1970-1972 A-Body

Battery hold down kit includes the correct black phosphate J-bolts with SEMS nuts and a thermo-plastic coated cross bracket.'

And this is what it looks like..

The car is a 70 Dart. My question is, is my battery too tall? Or is there a trick to this? What seems to be happening is I don't have holes in the correct places in my battery tray to make this bracket work, and even if I did, one of the hooks with threads is too short to even reach the top of the battery, as one is shorter than the other. Am I missing something?

The short hook goes in a hole in the inner fender. The longer goes in a holes in the battery tray.

Your not going to stick with the bungee cord? LOL

I changed my bungee out too a few years ago. That looks like the right one. Should go on just like redfish said.
