When putting the battery in the trunk I have a few questions I`m hoping I can get help with.

1) What route does the positive cable take?
2) I know it`s not necessary but has anyone run a negative cable to the block?
3) I`ve seen some people move the solenoid, should I?

Thanks

I always use a solenoid at the rear of the car for the starter. Keeps that big wire cold except when starting. I also use an S605 continuous duty solenoid to kill the alt charging wire when the cut off is thrown.

Here's how I do mine.

I usually route the wires under the shield along the drivers rocker

Ground wire, hook it to the frame rail at the rear and run an equal size wire to ground the block. No need to go the length of the car. I run fine strand 1/0 for the starter wire and 2 gauge for grounds.

Nice job on the schematic crackedback :thumleft:
Did you do that yourself on paint ?
Thank you :happy10:I will have to save that :toothy2:

I just saved it to my "tech" folder in my pics album. I am running a trunk mounted battery in the 48 and was looking for some ideas.
