I’m always jump starting or blowing up tires that are low or flat i got to thinking I need to buy a jump box and if it has a compressor even better. So I thought I would see what the FABO members recommend. I don’t need one that will jump start a series 60 Detroit. But i want a good one. Thanks

We’ve had bad luck with jump starters and short lithium battery life.

Best bet seems to be using ctek battery maintainers/tenders.

I can’t recommend Milwaukee’s m12 battery operated tire inflator enough. Half of my dad’s cars are in a garage with no electricity. That m12 inflator has saved our butts countless times and I keep one in the trunks of all my daily drivers.

I have a Viking 450 amp cordless and rechargeable jump box. It is a harbor freight special, but it cost 80 bucks. It will jump anything from a lawn mower to a twin battery Cummins dodge, any of our tractors to a 6 batteries, 12 volt Kenworth. I’ve had it about 3 years now and it rides around in my Jeep and I use it regularly. It’s small, about the size of a average novel, comes in an enclosed case with several cords to charge itself and various items like cellphones and tablets.

normally, I rarely recommend stuff from Harbor freight due to the quality control, but I’ve recommended this to several people and not a one has had a problem.

Pretty amazing. About the size of a cell phone. Started my v8 trans am twice & still had juice

I use an AGM battery with leads connected to directly to it. It's motorcycle battery size. Nothing to fail but the battery. I charge it every couple months on the bench. You've got to insulate the big alligator clamps for storage. Goes in a cordura case in the back and doesn't take much space. Never had much luck with the integrated compressors. I have one that works, but it takes way too long. I'd guess 45 minutes to fill a 33" tire, but not sure because the battery has always died during the process. I just carry a bicycle pump now as a backup to my onboard air.

Used one of these for years. Works good and reliable.

Running this now, it's really not that much faster than the 450P
