BB motor Question

I wished some of u guys lived close .My machine shop is very reasonable and they know Mopars.
 
And I wish I was in Texas !!!!!! Fell in love with it when my wife and I used to come every spring to get out of the long winters here.Steve
 
If you do indeed decide to go with the 400, really check into the measurements for whatever cubes you choose to build. Some combos with long rods leave very little comp height on the pistons. For a bracket build, I personally would avoid combos that use a 1.12/1.15 range pin height. I'd prefer a longer compression height piston along with a mid range ring package that can get you some longevity out of the build. Nothing like getting 3,4,500 runs out of a engine with nothing more then, oil, plugs, and maybe a valve spring swap. :D
 
I stay away from non standard comb's (not using off the shelf parts). If you break something, you have to have a part made. If you run stock Ross pistons for an example, and you break one, you call them up, tell them your balance #'s, and they send you one.You could break on sat. be running again by friday.
