I watch stuff on youtube a lot on our TV, and one day just because I was bored I watched a guy that did an instructional video on replacing the coil on a large cap GM HEI distributor and he put the button and spring for the rotor in with the spring facing down and the carbon button facing up under the coil.
Then he had a bit of a problem getting the coil cover back on (gee I wonder why?)
I only kept watching because I wanted to see if he ran it that way, and he did.

Maybe I'm a bit judgmental, but I remember saying "dumbass" under my breath.

LMFAO.....!

The other night I "got into" tractor videos, and found one of an old Farmall just like ours, pulling a plow JUST LIKE OURS. It occurred to me, I've NEVER know the really proper way to set up a 2 bottom plow. Usually, Dad had set it up, and just left it that way. So I actually SEARCHED for "how to" on plowing. AND THERE DOES NOT SEEM TO BE ANY!!!! Plenty of vids on "look at me plow" but nothing about how to actually start out and set one up. Not a tow behind, anyway...............

This guy?? NO idea what he is trying to do. We always attempted to rake hay into nice straight windrows..................

Why do so many YouTube videos show people PUSHING DOWN on a crank?
