What is the main cause of my seat adjustment not wanting to lock in the same slot as the drivers side?

Worn index on the slide. easy enough to pull the seat out

Ah, is that it? I always find myself having to slide over to the middle to get it to catch. But I’m the only person who drives my car, so I don’t need to adjust it very often. Just when I’m trying to vacuum.

You do know that there is a tensioned wire that goes from the lever latch to the opposite side latch? The wire tends to stretch, there is an adjustment hook for adjusting the tension. Both bucket and bench seats have them. May be easier to remove the seat to adjust it.

Right... "removing the seat" is not a very attractive proposition, however. That thing is a beast. A forklift would help... ;)

Removing the seat is easy, may need an extra hand if it's a bench, but still easy.
