Being a bottom-feeder, I got used seats. For my 1964 Valiant Convertible, I am just about to drill holes and fab mounts for 1999 Mustang Cobra front seats I got years ago off craigslist for $50/set from a mod shop who just wanted to get rid of them as the owner was upgrading. For my 1965 Dart 2 door, I bought front Sebring seats at a swap meet for ~$150/set and already fabbed mounts. Best thing is they have integral shoulder belts. Getting a head restraint and shoulder belts was my main reason, plus it costs $$$ to restore the factory seats, if you can even find the foam and covers. I suspect more cars will change to integral shoulder belts since it simplifies installation on the assembly line and may be cheaper.
