Not a bad year at all. I have posted this question on other sites. Will be interesting to compare result? I can say '68 was in the top 3.
 
1972. The 72 demon is my favorite car ever.

I wanted a 72 demon from the first time I ever saw one in a magazine.

When I finally found one, I overpaid for it but it's OK, I have my holy grail now
 
Yeah. There is ALOT to consider. For me? '69 is the best for B-body. '70 Ebody. And '68 A-body. Our 2nd picks will likely create the overall winner?
 
I picked '66-'67, not necessarily because they were the best muscle car years, but they were transformative years gapping between what were family cars into what became the true muscle car era. The designs were just the start of off the chart!

Actually it is a "Chrysler" poll. But the other manufacturers are also very close to same year ranges. But for entirely different reasons. The Corvette folks? It's '63 and '67. Hands down. Camaro/Mustang? '69. GM A-bodies? (Their mid size models) Chevelle, GTO, 442, GS is a whole other discussion.
 
70. Most every musclecar was great looking. 71 because I love the Charger, Satellite, RR, GTX. Those things look like they are doing 150 standing still.

I never like the '71+ front ends/front bumpers? I have warmed up over the years. But still a distant 3rd in body model in my opinion.

Definitely 67 for the Vette. Guy across the street from me when I was a kid had a buddy with a black 67 Corvette convertible with the 427, rally wheels and factory side pipes and it was parked in front of my house regularly. He also had a friend with a 70 Lime green Road Runner that had a full length picture of the road runner on the side. Not to mention his own cars 67 Buick GS, then a 71 Charger R/T and last but not least a 70 SS 454 WS6. Cranberry red, black stripes with a tan interior. Oh, and it was a 4-speed. That one he kept... still had it when I left for school in 79.
 
Ignoring all the other improvements in other brands (all the gm's intermediates move from 400 to 454/455, Ford moving to 429cj/boss) all the great mopars from 68/69 are still there in 70.... plus the Barracuda/Challenger 440s and Hemis.
I also picked 64. So much improvement in looks from the 62 b-bodies, and the new Hemi, and the new Barracuda.

Styling is a very subjective thing. I love those front ends, especially the Chargers with the hidden headlight option. Around the corner from me at the time was a 71 GTX, In-Violet, white interior and vinyl top 440+6 4 speed and pretty much every option in the book. I'd almost kill for that car. Owned by the trophy wife of the biggest contractor in town.

1967 442 is a good choice. last year of the "good" 400 cu. in.
For Mopars the 1969 Road Runner/GTX is my fave.
 
1963 is not getting any love? I drove my B-body up to a small (150 car) weekly show. And a '63 Max Wedge car was there. I typically didn't like that era of car. But I couldn't keep my eyes and questions off that car. BADDASS!
 
69 Charger - wow, swept lines no matter which angle or top view. Just gorgeous, a true pinnacle of design.
70 Roadrunner - one bad-looking car!! Still would love to get an orange one!
71 Demon - I'm biased but another all-around great-looking car. Love the Dusters too!

IMO, nothing beats the styling of a '69 Bee!!
Love the front grille and curves

Yeah. I probably should have made 3 choices? Since there is really 3 primary frame platforms? (C-bodies had their time of glory in late 50s early 60s?)
