Best way to add front sway bar

I got the Addco bars for Vixen front and rear and they fit great. Not too wide. Although the hardware was a little lacking, I used a universal Energy suspension mounting kit up front and modified it so that the bar mounts above the valance panel brace up real high. I also had to get a shorter link kit but it turned out nice. I also modified and improved the rear bar mounts as well.

I have a 64 Dart GT & have installed Hellwig front & rear sway bars, Bilstein front & Calvert 9 way adjustable rear shocks. Car still cant get out of its own way but she doesnt wallow thru corners anymore. :thumbsup: Love em!!

what i don't follow is that you posted a photos of not 64~66 setups and the stock picture of a 67~72 bar.
 
Factory 66 front sway bar setup with factory tabs. Should be the same for all early A Bodies.
Firm Feel also makes a front sway bar for factory lower control arms. I have one on order, so If anyone wants one they should be making mine soon.

About 15 years ago, I parted out a 64 Barracuda that had these on it. They are obviously aftermarket, as they are completely bolt on like mentioned above. The front links bolt to the shock bolt, the rear requires drilling into the frame rail for the outer mounts. Still pretty cool, and I believe very early, as the car sat for many decades.

if you currently have no sway bar and no tabs on the LCA's the easiest way is to buy a kit from an aftermarket supplier. these will have the swaybar pick up tabs that bolt to the shock mount of the LCA.

the POL/kanter/PST/addco bar is the same (751) and while it's less expensive the mounting is cumbersome and the hardware sucks. the hellwig 914 bar is loads better made and fits right, worth the price of admission. firmfeel sells a front bar with weld on tabs as well.

you can also scoop a used factory bar for about the same price as the 751 bar, but you'll need to weld on LCA tabs.

ACK!!!! You are absolutely RIGHT!! :rolleyes: Those pictures are from my stock photos where I was researching my sway bar options. My apologies. GOOD EYE!!:thankyou:

However, I DO have Hellwig front & rear sway bars installed on my 64 Dart GT & they were a direct bolt on.

Ill try to get some pictures for later on when I get the car outta da garage & weather gets better... :)
 
On my barracuda I installed hotchkis bars front and rear, very good product bout you have to solder some tabs and in the front they hang kind of low, if you want to lower your car it may hit in some places, ask me how I know, hahaha.
