What is the best way to clean the fabric on seat belts? I have heard that bleach white works good. Belts are brown, have the usual dirty spots and stains. Thanks! Keith.

Hi i cleaned mine in the sink with soap and water and a good scrub brush. Mine are blue belts and they came out really well. there are a bunch of articles on this topic if you search the words CLEANING SEAT BELTS. good luck you will be amazed at the results.

I`ve heard dishwashing liquid and a scrub brush (as 69340 said) are really effective. If you need an abrasive, use powdered Tide clothes detergent.

I boiled mine on my wifes stove in an old pasta pot! I threw in a little bit of black RIT dye also, and they look like they were just made.
I bet Castrol Super Clean will do the trick too.

I've washed them in warm water and M30 or creme type gojo and scrub brush.

I just dropped the whole thang right into the pot and let er rip!
Came out great!

i did the same thing. they started out brownish and came out nice looking black. try boiling them with some super clean or re-dying them.
