Hello all , I have my engine on a stand right now and will be installing it shortly .
What is the easiest and safest way to lift it ?
I had a chain under the block at the front and bolts in the bell housing for the back . It came out, but it was quite awkward and tilted a lot .
I have not done this for a long time. I do have the use of a nice lift though .
Any advice would be appreciated .

The other option is to drop it out of the bottom with the K frame much how Chrysler originally installed it.

excellent ,could you tell me what the bolt size is ? My threads are pretty clogged and I need to chase them

Last time I put the engine in my Colt I used the top of the head bolts AND another chain down to the trans brace bolt bosses.
This kept the engine at a 30 deg. tilt and it went in like butter.
If you just use the top bolts at some point you have to twist it over to align the bellhousing.

I am sorry for the delay guys, I ran out of the 3/8 bolts. Everything is shipping this weekend. PM me here if this is causing and grief.

Well this is how I did it back in the day. I wanted it to tilt because I was installing it with the trans.
