Hey Guys,

Going to be pushing more power out of the magnum in my scamp. Headers and exhaust are on, going to be picking a cam up for it, I plan on modding the kegger intake and pushing some boost through this thing.

I’m going to need some better flowing injectors, I know the stock ones are quite weak (19-22lb per hour I believe).

Does anyone know where I can source some better flowing injectors for the magnum engines?

Thanks!

You can also check out this place called UTAWSOME PERFORMANCE. Magnum engines is pretty much ALL they do & is a great place to deal with. They can help you with any questions you may have. Hughes Engines is good too & I got a set of Accel Injectors for my 95 5.2 Magnum from them, unfortunately, they were a little too much for my OBD-1 system to adapt to, so I had to remove them & still have them with only about 20 miles on them. They're only 21lbs (factory were only 19lbs) but if you need a set, I'll sell them for $275 for the set of 8.

Need injectors that are higher flowing than those. Looking to push 8lbs of boost. If my bench math is correct, I’ll need an injector that flows around 40lb per hour

The Ford Racing 44lbs injectors work very well. They are a 4-hole nozzle design for better atomization. I have a couple of spare sets with a few hours on them, if you want to save $.

They are the same dimensions and connector style as the factory magnum injectors?

Turns out the ones i have are not the 44lbs ones. My apology. After looking at them, I now recall I ordered the wrong ones (24lbs) initially and had to reorder the 44lbs ones.

I contacted the guys over at FiveOMotorSport and sent them the PN of the factory magnum injector. I let them know that I needed something that was dimensionally the same size but had a higher flow rate. They advised me that these will be a direct replacement and they are rated for a much higher flow rate than other options, competitively priced as well

I’m using Denso 5.3 GM Flex 80lb de capped injectors on my turbo 5.9. They take an EV6 type connector. They were pretty affordable when I bought them several years ago. Like $300

I'm about to set-up a straight methanol system on a fresh 408 Magnum with a Paxton style supercharger, and am curious if you can elaborate on your system and your experiences with it?

I hope we’re not derailing the OPs thread but I run a Snow’s water/meth (50/50) injection system PWM controlled with a solid state relay from my ECU which allows me to ramp up the amount of WM as boost rises. I have a
#3 nozzle at the intake elbow (3GPH)
and #10 at the turbo housing. I turn on the spray at about 7psi and 40% duty cycle and ramp to 100% at about 14psi.

Nope, you’re all good. I’ve decided to go with the injectors I mentioned in post #12. I’ll probably order them when I send my cam off to Oregon cams to be ground.

Plus, your setup is sweet, keep the pics coming

Not sure what your long term goals are but I’d advise you to scope out your fuel system to handle more boost then what you initially intend. Big injectors, plenty of pump (I run 2x AEM 400s) 8AN feed and return lines and a sumped fuel cell. If you have access to E85, run it.

Evan, will you give us the details on your ignition setup? Thanks.
