hi we bought a pretty clean 64 dart & i have a medium built 400 & 727 sitting around . so we figure we will put them in it we also have a 440 virgin block that we bolted to the 727 to use for mockup to get the motor & trans plate first time putting it in place the trans hump looks to tight we beat the firewall seam flat already i have not gotten back out to the shop to check any further . does anyone have pics or suggestions . thanks dave

cool! my car is an Australian manufactured 65 Valiant. So the steering wheel is on the opposite side to yours, but all the dimentions are the same, rails, floor pans, tranz tunnel and so on. my engine is a 440 and the exh manifolds I think are 383.

these pics were taken while I was fabricating engine mounts, exharst and reshaping the tranz tunnel.
I think a 400 would be a good idea cos I only have 7/16" between my iner fender and exh manifolds.
