I have access to a big block K-frame complete with Kelsey Hays small bolt pattern disc brakes, A-arms, shocks, etc. The 4 K-frame to frame rail bolts were removed and the whole assembly came out. See the poor picture below. I am trying to get the special motor mount - just the one side right? I need a Hemi K-frame. I understand the big block K-frame is special and I don't want to hack it up. Is what I have worth a bare Hemi K-frame? What say ye?

i would say the complete unit you have for a bare hemi K would be a square trade.

even though it's a 67, if that's all numbers it's a score to someone that needs it.

And in my opinion your factory BB-frame and complete front suspension, is worth way more than a Hemi-frame, unless of couse the frame is from one of the factory SS-cars.

Yes, a factory SS car K-frame would be awesome but most probably not in the cards - or the budget. I have a '68 small block K-frame that may become the donor for your kit but I'm waiting for the driver's side mount before doing anything - you know, "A bird in the hand..." Thanks for the reply.

Just had confirmation the driver's side mount is on the way. The gentleman sent this pic. Is this what we're talking about?

Did the Hemi in an A body take different mounts than the other bodies ?

Tommy

I haven't gotten that far yet. You may want to contact @SSing above - I'm guessing his kit instructions would cover what goes between the K-frame with his parts welded in and the Hemi block itself. Fingers crossed it will be any of the readily available rubber & bracket kits out there.

Actually the steel mount that’s in your picture isn’t that hard to find. It’s the rubber mount that goes between the k-frame that steel mount is almost impossible to find.

OK then; I'm a little more informed than I was when I woke up today. Thanks for that! I guess everything I would need to mount a big block is already there. Final question on this subject, What is this all worth?

No, initially in 1968 when Chrysler put the Hemi in the Darts and Barracudas, the B-Body Street Hemi mounts were used. So early B-body (´66-69 ) is correct but later B and E can be made to work.

Yes, I think Mega Parts have good stuff. The ´66 B-body engine brackets and rubber mounts is what I have used.

Okay,,,that makes sense .
The ones I have are for an E body,,,,and I knew they looked nothing like that .

So can you please give the part numbers for the Mega Parts brackets, insulators, & hardware you use with your kit? I'd like to spend the money once since these are pretty specific parts. Thanks!

Thanks for the response. However, there are part numbers for their products. If you hover over the picture and click on it, the part number comes up at the end of the description. I'm pretty sure I can look up what you've given me so I'll get back to you with the list as I think you are describing.

Mopar to ya!
