I have a 187 oil pan I was planning on using on my big block Dart. However, I think I would like to have a little more oil capacity. I know adding some depth to my 187 pan is an option but what I would like to know is, are there any aftermarket pans available that don't interfere with the steering linkage on big block A-bodies? I haven't seen any yet that are notched like the 187 pan so I wonder if any of them will work without being modified. Also, I will be using a spool type DC k-frame and TTI headers should they be a factor in choosing a pan.

Here's the one we have been using. Milodon #31580 "Road Race" pan. 7 quart capacity with trap doors
for oil management. Clears TTi headers on Hemis at least and has maximum ground clearance.

I have a Milodon 31015 I can sell you. Barely used. Has the oil pickup too. Fits a A body stock suspension just fine.

Good lookin pan. I think that has more ground clearance than a stock one.

Actually, better looking than the picture. I put one on my silver Duster....5-1/4" in depth.....about 1/8" deeper than my 440 pan with a Hemi sump mated (further rearward for rack clearance) to it.

the Jegs one piece gasket seal / windage tray is a PIA and requires cutting for this application....but would be fairly easy if you were installing with the motor on the stand.

not cheap....but you get what you pay for.

...........The 440 source aluminum pan is supposed to fit great, I hope so as that's what's going in mine by the end of the month.........kim.......

This is the pan I use as well.

Great pan with capacity and outstanding ground clearance.

I know this an 2016 thread but if you read this I would like to know what K frame and what type of engine mounts you used.
Thank you
Ron

Check out Mancinis. They have a new a body pan that is six quart and only 2 inches deeper than stock. I am going with one to replace my milodon for street use.
