How old is this cam?

I brought the cam about 10 years ago for an engine project where the block turned out to be no good so the engine was never assembled. I held on to it in the hopes of building another but due to lack of funds, that won't be happening. The cam and tappets are still new, wrapped in the factory plastic. The cam is still available in the same part number today and can be found on several websites for the price range I listed. I INCLUDED the shipping in the price, which will wind up being a good portion of the price due to it's size and weight.
