my car is a 1970 Dart & I'm planning on converting my car to a motor plate & mid plate set up with braced shock towers.

i need pics of bigblocks in a bodys with motor plate & midplate setups

I scored a free midplate that is 2 years old & never used... its the competition enginering one http://search.store.yahoo.net/cgi-b...tp://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/moplstmi.html

which motor plate from this page do i need? http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/moplstmi.html

the the strut bars im going with have a mounting tab for the motor plate http://magnumforceracing.com/store/...&BrandID=&Category=&SubCategory=&Search=&Page=

Now how is the best way to install the motor plate and midplate?

Tony when I did my motor plate they told me not to use an aluminium water pump housing. This was because it now holds the weight of the engine. I used an old housing and machined 3/8 of an inch off of it to allow for the thickness of the motor plate. I do use an aluminium water pump for weight reasons.
Can't help on the mid plate as I don't use one.

now that i feel good about the motor plate set up, what should i do with the k-member?

should i got to an auto salvage & buy a k-member out of a slant 6 a body, lighten it, remove motor mount tabs on kmember & then install?

I just used my small block K, just ground the mounts off. My motor plate dosn't look that nice in that pic above.
I'll try and scan one of my old pics later for you to see what I did.

thanks pics help!
i'll do what you did with the k member, in this pic they are using an aluminum water pump housing (they probably dont race it) but i'll stick with my cast iron unit
