Reminds me of the Cincinnati area. It's weird seeing large elaborate homes with spires and detailed trim and stone work in the middle of forgotten neighborhoods with multiple families living in them.

Driving through Avondale it’s just sad. Some of those gigantic old houses rotting away. Bigdummy, if you’re over heard Richmond Indiana you should check out those some of their houses and city hall. I love seeing those gigantic city hall buildings in old Midwest towns.

@Bigdummy Wow, that's a big church! Im in awe when I got back to Texas and see these small towns with the county seat courthouse towering over the small square. My area I grew up in is too new to have old buildings....Santa Ana nearby has some nice places (in secluded neighborhoods) as well as my new hometown Tustin, but only about 3 blocks of old town. Great place to trick or treat!

We have a big old courthouse in Cleburne Tx and some historic homes. My wife wants to live in some old house in a little town.I ask her how she is going to get upstairs. She is waiting on her full knee replacement at the same time she might have thyroid cancer.

Fella two blocks from me lives IN a church.

And he's got a '71 4-door Dart.

Tell her, sorry but we need a no step rancher. Or stay where you are. Saw it with both my mother and father...

I run up through Richmond and Muncie once a month and always look forward to it.

Mom grew up in Clarksville, TX, 24 miles East of Paris. Red River county seat.
