yes no mods yeah I've been caught out a few times as well Lol
And your front tires? Size and rubbing?I thought ill let you know that this post is from 2012 ! but to chopView attachment 1715306298 View attachment 1715306296 you out rears 15x7 x 255 x 60 4 inch back space
Awesome thanks!wheel 15 x 6 tyre 205x65x15
I'm going through the same decision process on my 67 GTS, stock 8 3/4, stock disc/drum brakes, SS springs. I want to go with steel wheels 15x7, 4" backspace... with largest tires in stock wheel wells/location that allow good drivability(not rubbing). Do you think you could've fit the 255 60 15s without moving the spring in, with 4 inch backspace? When I measured, it looked like it would be tight but good.
Also what did you put up front?
Do you have a good side profile pic?
Thanks!!! Mine currently has junk roller 225 70 14s on it. View attachment 1715306276

Thanks for offering the used 245s, but I will buy new so they can mount and balance the set. Thank you for the great pics. Do you happen to have one from a distance so you can see the car's side profile? Also what size do you have on the front?Jeg's had the best price at the time when I was looking for BFG's 235/70's and free shipping
235/60/15 will fit perfectly on a 15 x 7 rim w/4.25" b/s.
245/60/15 might fit w/the correct b/s and rollin the wheel lip.
A 255/60/15 will not fit unless you install the offset kit or relocate the springs.
BTW, the 70 and up Darts wheel opening is different from the 67-69. A 255 tire will fit the 70 and up Darts, not a 67-69.
And they fit! I just installed 245/60/15 and 215/65/15 Cooper Cobra GTs around 15x7 Wheel Vintiques steelies with 4.25" BS on my 1967 Dart, stock 8 3/4 axle and spring location, Mopar SS leafsprings, stock wheel wells and lips. 255's would possibly fit, but it would be super tight on mine. Plus as explained previously in this thread by others, every car is different and may or may not fit what someone elses will, so measure and order conservatively. If you still have room and they don't rub when driving, then maybe maximize size next time you order tires. Mine don't rub under light driving with a light load, I haven't carried a heavy load or cornered hard yet.

Looking at your pictures I have an acre more room on my 68 GTS than you do. I took a measurement yesterday and between the inside sidewall of my 235/70/15's to the SS springs I have over 1 inch of clearance. Between the rim and the springs I have two inches of clearance. I'm using a 15X7 rim with 4.25 backspacing, my new rims are 15x8's with 4.75 backspacing so I should be good
