bypass hose answer.with the Edelbrock 7577 and the LA water pump use Gates house number 21918.remove a couple barbs off of the brass Edelbrock hose adapter shorten that section of the hose a little bit and your set. f.y.i the hose is for a 91 to 99 Nissan Sentra upper radiator. hope this helps you as much as it did me.

That is almost obscene.

I used the factory one and did as you did and shortened the brass fitting and trimmed the hose a little. No worries.

Use the stock hose and trim it down a little. Looks way better then what you have there.

8.1 Liter Gm ,
Soooo many parts, literally , Millions of parts, & Millions of factory builds.

would using a common plumbing 3/4 NPT close nipple (male/male) & a 45 deg elbow (female/female) & another close (short) nipple (male/male) let you use the OE LA bypass hose? you could even shorten the male ones as needed and deburr the ends that the hose slips on plus leave a raised ridge on the end like the OE chrysler nipple has to help with hose retention
