Any idea if solid mounting MSD Blaster SS coil would result in any damage?

The rubber vibration mounts are pretty cheesey. I've already had two break. Just wondering if mounting it with solid spacers instead would cause issues.

Best to follow MSD mounting requirements, it may help in the future with warranty issue. Best to consult with MSD. That case is plastic, and potted with epoxy, over torque of screws may crack, or distort unit, with possible failure of high voltage insulation, or internal connections.
Most well designed coils have steel sleeves at mount locations to avoid compression of plastic.

I've got to wait until monday to give them a call. I was just wondering if anyone here runs one and if they mounted it solidly. I'll let you guys know what MSD says. Thanks for the input.

Finally got a hold of MSD yesterday. They said there'd be no problem solid mounting one of these coils. Just an FYI in case other folks have issues with their rubber vibration mounts.
