Always a challange picking a forum to post my issue to. Today it will be this one!
I am thinking about putting "blue dot" taillight lenses in the center of my 67 notch
taillight lenses. I understand this is more for the "40-50 vintage rods but i think it
would suit my car nicely. looking for input and anyone else who has done it.

You might check state law, some of that kind of thing is actually illegal in some states. One of my pet peaves and this IS illegal, EG is "smoked" lenses

It is illegal in Washington state on some years of vehicles from what the state patrol told us. Somewhere in the 50s was the cutoff if I remember correctly.

There are two types, plastic "witch suck ***" & real glass..( those reflect MUCH BETTER) Check the Wa . vehicle code book,to be sure. In CA,got a few "fix it.." infraction tickets, with mine. You could also ask a Wa. state certified lamp inspection professional, as well. It should have it listed in the Wa . state lamp inspection handbook...

FWIW, i always hated them and thought they looked stupid and tacked on.
What a great way to wreck a good set of tail light lenses.

Well I agree that they are not for 60's & 70's cars but the look seriously cool
on rods from the 30's 40's & 50's. I am in the process of rehabbing my taillight
housings and lenses and gave it some thought. Decided against it as I cannot
see a place to buy exactly want. I really appreciate everyone expressing their
thoughts.
