Does it have a “correct”, or correct-ish engine in it?

Good to hear it’s out doing what it was built for:thumbsup:

I'n the 80's Jerry Hurley bought one of Glidden's Arrows. He ran a match race at Green Valley Raceway he went 5.35 that was moving back then.

My buddy Keith Bronson (Mustang) and his dad Keith sr run non original cars in an East coast group. They attend several national events.

Anybody remember when Glidden had rented a track for testing & when he was ready to start testing the track surface was to cold for the Arrow to hook..... His solution? he poured race fuel on the starting line & lit it up..... Awesome car!! Awesome time in Drag Racing History....

Bob Glidden was a gentleman, class act and one hell of a race car driver.

Was this a pro stock reunion race or nostalgia?
Those cars in my opinion are the Pinnacle of awesome.
Post 6 I see it, that would be 1 cool race to be involved in.

I sold my Arrow in 2012 the guy that bought it painted like Glidden's car and ran some nostalgia races. I wish I never sold that car!

I don't think so, he didn't tell me what was under the hood and I didn't press him about it, but at 5.80 it's definitely doing what it was built for!

Have a new/never-fired, 79 Glidden SBM engine, for sale. Carbs to dry-sump system. Amazing stuff inside of that engine.
