Soaking them in the Works toilet bowl cleaner works very well and is cheap

coca cola but those tumbler fastners look pretty good coca cola and then dry take a 15 gallon trash can and cover with small whole thru it for a small sand blaster ,small whole to keep the sand from making a mess

Hello all, I have seen some pictures posted on some restoration threads here of some incredible attention to detail that goes way beyond anything I have ever done.
Thinking I need to improve my method of cleaning up the factory bolts and such.
hoped some of you guys wouldn't mind sharing what has worked best for you
to help get some of us grubby guys up to snuff.

I sandblast them, then polish em up on a wire wheel attached to a bench grinder if i want em to look silver polished. Then i shoot a little rattlecan clearcoat on them. Other than that i sandblast, and paint.
