Boxing in the LCA

Thoughts on this? The stiffening plates are pretty cheap and I've got everything apart right now...



Is it worth the effort on a fun to drive street car?

You can do the same with 1" steel strips. And hey are lighter.

This is what I did with three 1" steel strips. No need to overlap the flange that's already on the LCA.

I've gone off course at the racetrack into a dirt hill.....and bent a steel rim, bottomed out a shock, dimpled up a shock tower....Didn't bend the Lower Control Arm.

Make sure to clamp the back near the adjuster pivot to take out any looseness in it.
 
Watch this video before you do anything. Slop in the T-bar socket should be taken care of, too...
