Brady Bunch, Blue on Blue Barracuda

-

Boy does that bring back some cool memories. Smiling from ear to ear, lots of good times . . . I can still here the 4 barrels opening up on her.

Raised a little hell with it back in 1976 around home on a Saturday night and out ran the local cop when me and my buddy with his 73 Dart Sport 340 were racing and the cop wanted the both of us to pull over. We both got away, pedal to the metal.

Crazy thing the next week I needed to borrow my dad's pickup as I worked in Rochester and needed it to pick up some large parts. So my Dad used my car for the week.

Dad takes my 73 Barracuda into the small town of Randolph to see what is going on for the evening, and the cop pulls him over.

The Cop is walking around the car a couple of times looking it over and comes around to my Dad and says: Do you drive this car all the time? My Dad sayes Yeah, why? The Cop just shakes his head and walks away.

Good old Dad . . Lol . . .

I was always more of a Jan fan. She was closer to my age at the time.

Greg (Barry) had Fast & Loud make a 1969 Satellite wagon on the Monday night show.

I agree that they should have left it stock, even though the finished product looks very good too.
I hate the side pipes though, totally out of place.
At least they didn't put on 20'' wheels and rubber band tires, so that's a bonus............

Thank god they didn’t do an LS was swap in the wagon either.

I wonder who ended up with that one of none 72 Barracuda vert.

I almost bought the one of none 72 Mod Squad Challenger vert back in 1989 for $3500!
That was a lot of money, as I did buy a rusty 73 Rallye Challenger that year for $500!

Also on a side note. A couple of the Mannix episodes were filmed at the Brady house and on the patio. It's pretty cool.

I wonder if that's where Mannix got the idea to get his '72 Cuda convertible. So there were at least two.
After that, Mannix had a '73 or '74 Challenger with a factory sunroof. He had a Camaro in the end. Prolly why they cancelled the show.

It was probably the same production company.

Thanks everyone for throwing in on this Brady Bunch Blue on Blue Barracuda post.

Good Time . . Thanks

Darren in Bewitched drive a 68/69 L88 Corvette in one episode.

GTOs in I Dream of Jeannie .

Wilbur drove Studebakers in MR Ed

BTW, the surviving Brady cast is doing a rehab show where they transform the actual house used for exterior shots into an interior that matches the set as best as possible.

If anyone's interested in watching, the "A Very Brady Renovation" series starts tonight at 9pm (8pm Central) on HGTV

Fast and Loud wagon episode was on last night and then the Brady house reno episode 1 right after.

Back in the day, I used to try to orient the interior of the house with the exterior, and never could.

Now we know why. House was only a 2/2 partial split level and they needed a 2000 sq/ft addition including the complete upstairs.

Bewitched-

Samantha always had a wagon, either full sized or at least one episode, a chevelle/malibu.

I remember Deron always having a camaro.

Larry Tate had a corvette.

Major Nelson had a 400 firebird convertible after the gto's

IIRC, the 67 season nelson had the gto and Healy had the firebird

I thought Peter looked the most like he did 40 years ago.

Cindy still had the same mannerisms (and slight lisp).
