The car stops better than it did and comes to a smoother stop. Other than that it really is the same. I have not had to come to a sudden stop or anything yet in which I'm wanting to break in the pads before I give it a test. I drive a 03 Dodge Ram to work every day and the cuda does not stop as well as the truck does. Of the course the truck has four wheel power disc brakes. LOL!

after about 200 miles on pads/rotors, they will grab better. 2 fresh surfaces need to marry so to speak.

Yeah that's what I was thinking but really didn't know how long it would take. I probably got about 20 something miles on the new rotors and pads.

Glad to read your brakes worked out...

I bought a new alum mastercylinder recently and it did not come with new rubbers.

Any ideas where I can get a set of rubbers for the pushrod?? without buying another m/c. Anybody have a set they want to sell?

I need the rubber piece too. I was told I could make one out of a piece of fuel line hose with a groove cut in it. The groove would let it compress as it's pushed into the piston. Haven't tried it yet. Too many irons in the fire.

1/4" fuel hose, cut a v in it and cut it too length....cheap and easy.

I've got a manual disc brake master for a late '70's truck (1-1/8" bore). It works okay but would be a chore to stop from a high speed. I was considering a change to the smaller bore but didn't think a power brake master would work because of the rod. Good to know, thanks!

Man this thread was last year. lol

I've up graded to the aluminum master cylinder since then. It stops better and has a "firmer" feel.

Just making sure, I'm in the same boat you were, my master looks like yours, so does the rear larger reservoir in the master still feed the rear or the front disks ?
thanks
