NOS Brand New Carter "Super Quads"
I have had these in storage since the 1980
These are the High Performance Super Quads
made in the 1980 for Racing and HP use
They are the only one calibrated for Performance
and Not for emissions or mileage!!
The circuits are different and the accelerator pump circuits
and squirter are refined for maximum power and throttle response.
We run these on my Stock and Superstock race Car as they are a legal
replacement for the smog carbs
I have run these type Cars (Not these new ones) against the 1971 thermoquads
which before these came out were the best and the 9801s ARE noticably faster!
9801 is calibrated for Mopars and features Mopar linkage as does the 9811 but
the 9811 is for 273/318 smaller engines.
These might be the last NOS Super Quad you may ever see~!

9801 = I have Two NEW($450 each shipped)
9810 = One NEW ($400.shipped)

I have a 1/2 Dozen 9800 /9801/9810/9811 that are low mileage and
very nice shape = $250 each shipped

curious (related) question... anything weird about the kit or floats for a 9801? I have one here I'm looking to put onto one of my engines. looks basically new but not knowing its history I'd like to crack it open before I plop it on.

Shot me some pic of it when it is apart and I can tell you which style floats it has and
which kit it has and where to find it.

All mine = I take apart inspect set floats Air door tension and opening and make sure the
jets are correct for what application it will be used for. I make sure the OEM floats and correct needles and seats are present. I do this before I ever ship them unless brand new and the buyer requests me not to take them apart and inspect!
I prefer the fiberfill floats over the brass one personally. Both must be checked
for absorbing gas.
Mine have been sitting 30+ years or more and I know they have not been fooled with or any pieces crossbred.
Most used carbs have been thru many rebuilds and hands and who know what is in them until you take
them apart for inspection.

They take same rebuild kit as 72 up Factory carbs. The 9801 has a 125 secondary jet I would replace with a 137
which is what 9811 came with which is also a Mopar linkage carb.

I still have the BRAND NEW 9810 which is the same but does not come
with Mopar linkage but regular GM/Holley linkage. I ordered a Holley
adapter for Mopar linkage which we always have toput on our Holleys. I will
install it and put it on a 9800 or a 9810 so it will directly bolt onto Mopar. =\No charge.

Since calibration parts are scarce. Do u have on calibrated for a 451/A body/727? 850?

If you tell me the particular carb you are running = I can give you the calibrations that will get you
very close.

I make my own jet sizing and squirter sizing and a few other things on them.

I have been racing them at a Nationally competitive level since they sere
new.

Google: John Irving Drag Racer

to see some of our stuff

Recommend Fiber Floats
Most kits have these now!
NOT Metal ones

My race cars are pretty high Vibration and
I have had the Brass Floats crack several times (Often towing them
to the Track on the trailer).
Most guys on here are not Drag Racers but they drive like
the "Dukes of Hazard".
Tip the Brass float up and if it stays up
it is OK BUT if it drop down = Toss it out!
My mind still works but my hands do not anymore (You alone
will understand this comment)!

I have a couple 9800 that have tight shafts and
complete for $250. Priority Shipped and Insured by me.
This part # comes with .137 secondaries
and the larger accelerator circuit.
They will fit as built on a stick car or manual valve body auto
but need an adapter for the mopar kickdown linkage as do all
holleys and most Competition Series Carters. I will buy and install
the correct parts and adapter for extra $25. if you buy a carb from me.
Expect to set the floats on any Carb shipped by anyone anymore as
they seem to get banged around in transit. They have been on the shelf
for many years and might need a carb kit thrown in them or maybe not.
I will adjust the Air door and Accelerator Pump circuit so the should not need
any further adjustments prior to shipping if you request.

I found a 9810 and 9811.
The shafts are tight and all part intact and working but they
are dirty and need a full clean up!
$175.00 Priority shipped and insured.
