SO--I'm in the process of trying to figure out witch slicks to order for the valiant but I have another question,is there any special brake in you do to a new set of slicks?????? We have never been in this situation before so I can use all the help I can get--Thanks Steve

as far as size, I would order the widest slick that will fit the wheel well....and height...depends on what will fit the wheel well...plus the gearing in the rear end....

break in....do a burn out....LOL......

Thanks Tony -I didn't know if they came with some kind of skin on them and had to do something other than a burn out-Never done this before -Steve

when do you and when do u not use a tube???? is that a thing of the past????? and I know the wheels are drilled for screws do I use the screws??? or see if the tire moves on the rim first--Thanks STeve

Some cars don't require rim screws. When the tire shop mounts them, ask them not to use the goo to help it over the rim. That stuff will make it slide all over. Our car was pulling 1.25 60 ft times and the tires moved very little.

As for tubes they aren't really needed either although the tire pressures seem to stay more steady with less air loss. They are kinda heavy though. I've heard that Goodyear doesn't even have tubes for their tires.

Thanks Spare-If you see us at GLD come up and help,We'll take all the help we can get cause this is new for us,Car should be here hopefully end of next week then it's GLD every thursday for T& T--Steve
