Brakes are no finished yet...

but in a very few weeks I think I'll be able to turn around the neighborhood (at 3 a.m. without mufflers).

Good man! I wish I was anywhere near the level you are with my restoration. Seems like theres always something else higher priority. Currently renovating the downstairs bathroom...grrr.

step by step.. one piece a day...
sometimes I think to quit... almost everyday. Hope to ride it soon.

Stay on track....one thing a day. I can see the progress and it's coming along great.

Your so close I can count the days.

How about a deadline to get you motivated.

I say it should be running/driving by July 1 if you keep on doing one thing a day.

didn't like this flexible brake line.
tomorrow I'll use another one (from other car) I have. Hope they have the same internal diameter..

I agree. To tight of a bend will cause the hose to crack or tear at that location.

Couple inches longer.....what my wife keeps telling me.:D

Did not have time to finish brakes... I still have to buy a new flex brake line, at least 1/2 inch longer.

yesterday I took my lunch time to install 3speed shifter linkages.

I wasn't aware about gear selector. I removed linkage arm on gearbox... and a small ball felt inside the gear box.

I removed gear selector cover, found the small ball. Well.. a few more things and gearbox will work again

Some people use a dab of silicone or heavy grease to hold that ball bearing in place when reassembling. Good luck. That kind of work can be tedious and frustrating.

Ahh,now I understand. I did not see it at firsr. Sometimes much harder to grasp things from just a picture, but yes looks to be too short of a brake line. Taking into account things like steering and suspension movement, you need a few more inches.
