Any one have a recommendation on a good R/O buffer? There are so many to choose from, any one have any first hand experience with any??

Thanks

Griot's has come out with a new line of high end polishers. I have their 2 from their previous line and they are of good quality. The new stuff has a larger orbit if you want that. Some of the best buffers are from Italy.

I have a 10FX and I really like it. It's a good machine. If you want a long throw DA I'd go with the Boss 21 from Griots.

Is there an advantage to the long throw??

Yes. A 21mm throw DA can correct more paint at once than an 8mm throw DA. I've never used one so I don't know about their smoothness as compared to a standard 8mm DA. Then there's forced rotation like the FLEX and they'll correct faster than a DA but aren't as forgiving.

Proper technique is way more important than the speed though.
