Buffing the 68 Barracuda I just got.It was totally fadded.I got the whole car buffed out and now it looks way better than it did a week ago.Even has tons of scratches and dings in the body but looks better.I can not get the hood to buff out.I buffed a corner of it and just get a slight shine.Any ideas what to do? Is the paint just too far gone? Or should I try and wet sand it? I didn't wet sand the rest of the car just used buffing compound.Open to suggestion I can't hurt it I guess.Maybe I will repaint it,but then it would make the rest of the car look bad.LOL...
I may just have to live with it.

Thanks,Jim

What are you using? I like to start with Maguire's cleaner wax/compound. That stuff works good.

if you do wet sand then I would use a professional grade buffing compound.
