Should I trade a 8 3/4 a-body rear non-sure grip for a 8 1/4 rear sure grip?? I can get a 8 1/4 rear end with one broken axle already 4.5" bolt pattern, which I will need one axle and complete drum brakes, I can trade a 8 3/4 with small bolt axles for it 741 case, which I would need to get new axles for 4.5" bolt pattern and brakes. Anybody have one axle for a 8 1/4? Or want to trade a 8 1/4 for a 8 3/4? Or should I build the 8 3/4 and rear disc and new axles??? Both axles need brakes. What should I do??? What's better for me my car is only a six...
8 1/4 needs one axle and complete brakes (no backing plates, drums, etc)
8 3/4 needs two axles 4.5" bolt and complete brakes (no backing plates or drums, etc.) Might do disc brake conversion...
