First time for me to weld in 50 yrs, and first time with a MIG. Some of the welds look like cat poop on a flat rock, but I went back over to assure good penetration and by the end of the project my welding looked passable.

The concept is to provide a cradle for the k-frame first, while allowing for the engine and trans to be supported as well. In addition, I made it "4-legged" rather than "3-legged" since I tend to dump things when using 3-legged stuff. I had the casters, but I had to buy all the metal and the bolts. About $120 in the project and about another $80 leftover tubing for other projects. Photos are from tubing, to components, to assembly, to mounted k-frame and suspension.

Should make the front suspension rebuild easier. The movable bracket under the back of the k-frame will be lowered and moved back under the trans oil pan when the engine and trans are added.

This one looks real nice. I started on a 3 legger one, but may incorporate some of your ideas into mine.

That's pretty cool!

Nice work ! Mine was caveman style but luckily lasted it's one time use. Dropped car over K frame, eng.,trans, and steering box. Yours will last forever.
