Is it located in the factory spot on the driver inner fender behind the original battery tray? Are the fender headers issuing to much heat to it? Your pics are not conclusive.

Interesting, one thing that your hood doesn't do is fource air down and out over the rest of the engine.

A simple heat shield over sensitive parts is effective.

But I like your inginuity (sp?)

Thanks, tried all that moons ago. Had double electric fans, auxiliary radiators (trans coolers) in cooling system you name it...header/brakeline wrap
