Love the bumble-bee stripe Plymouth or Dodge! I say YES DO IT!

Not to hijack the thread, but can I put the gloss black bumble-bee stripe on my Dart GT with the body side molding? I've never seen a bumble-bee stripe/molding combination. Eventually the car will have the molding removed and the car will be painted a different color, but the wife insists it needs the bumble-bee stripe NOW!

Opinions/suggestions?

This car was at Spring Fling 2008. Pretty trick with the logo.

You'd have to trim it so that it goes around the mouldings but I guess it would work. Not sure how it would look, though. Guess you'd need to decide that. Is it worth a $50 roll of the dice? I am having my Christmas sale until the end of this weekend :)

I say go for it! I think they look good :)

If/when the dart gets repainted, we want to put on a stripe, just need to decide if it will be painted, or vinyl.

not only did i do it to a plymouth, but i even did it on a 4 door. 10 years ago, i even put em on my winter rat k car!

71 scamp rear ends are identical to 70 dart rears so my vote is go for it. they are identical and therefore look equally as nice

I PUT ON ON MY 73 SWINGER AND ITS NOT EVEN THE RIGHT YEAR FOR BUMBBLE BEE STRIPES BUT HELL ITS MY CAR AND THATS ALL THAT MATTERS YOU SHOULD DO IT I WOULD....

I say do it! :thumrigh:

I just put a set on my 74 dart and it looks great...I do think I might have put them on a little to far forward but meh, I like it.

How about this

Convertible SCAMP with stripe

This car was cut up years ago. he actually did a pretty good job making something he wanted. He didn't use a dart top frame, he cut down a frame off a full size ford. I have not seen it with the top up, but top down looks good for a homemade convertible

damn he did it the hard way. would have been easier to just start with a 67-69 rag top... like this one... :)

this car has been around a long time. used to see it at mopars at e-town when the show was actually worth going to.

wish chrysler would have built a 70 dart rag top. man does it look good..

Can we get better pics of it? Looks pretty close to the one I am adding to my wifes dart.

Looks good on my daughter's car

Your daughter drives a classic mopar AND keeps it clean in WA?!?! you raised her right!

(WTH happend to the cheers smilie that had a mug of brew?!?!)

As far as the stripe I personally think it would look awsome, and to agree with most everyone else. Its your car, your the one that has to look at it every day to hell with what anyone else has to say about it :) besides most of what everyone considers "cool" now was started by someone who decided to hell with what everyone thinks lol, funney how that works....

Just about 9-10 months out of the year lol...you know i think thats the first time i've seen a woman actually wash a car lol, those bathing suit car washes they do for charity dont count, they actually tend to make the cars worse lol.
